Episode 35: The Meaning of Life (Monty Python's meaning, that is)
Wednesday May 16, 2018
Wednesday May 16, 2018
This week is a discussion of one of Kindred's favorite movies. "A spectacle of humour and good fun for (almost) the whole family!" -Kindred, right now while writing this description. Riley and Kindred get right down to it and have a political discussion in the middle of the movie discussion. Political discussions, can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em, eh? At the very end Riley shares a Josh anecdote that Kindred is still thinking about until this moment because she enjoyed it so thoroughly. Guys, as always, thanks for listening.

Episode 34: Buhloone Mindstate, I'm White (If That Matters)
Tuesday May 08, 2018
Tuesday May 08, 2018
Riley forces Kindred to listen to one of her favorite albums, and Kindred (spoiler alert) isn't super into it. They discuss the oversaturation of media, and Riley wonders "by jove, what IS that sound my mic is picking up?" It's nothing if not a professional time, as always.

As I sit down to write this summary (hi, yes, it's me Kindred) I'm thinking about how many times I said the word, "right" in this episode as a response to Riley. It sounds disinterested, but I assure you that it's not. Now that we know Riley's word is "like" and mine is "right" we can all move forward with our lives. But you're not reading this description to know what I'm thinking in this moment (or what I'm currently eating . . . Chili Cheese Fritos, thanks for asking) you're reading this to figure out what the hell you're about to lisen to, and so I'll tell you. In this episode of this Extremely Important Podcast(tm), nipples are discussed in three separate anecdotes and so is a man sifting through his child's poop. Enjoy!

Episode 32: Rebels Without An Easter
Monday Apr 23, 2018
Monday Apr 23, 2018
In a strange and ill-timed attempt to have an Easter episode, Riley and Kindred discuss Rebel Without a Cause. They wonder aloud if they have become dead inside and talk at some length about American Girl dolls. Later, Riley edits the episode and actively wonders if there is some service or therapy that exists that can help her to stop saying "like" in virtually every sentence she speaks.

Episode 31: Terms of Endearment won how many Oscars?
Monday Apr 16, 2018
Monday Apr 16, 2018
This week Riley and Kindred watched a movie nobody asked for a review on, Terms of Endearment. Kindred has some thoughts about the title of this podcast that she can't put into words and Riley has some thoughts about Mormonism that she CAN put into words. I know this blurb sounds drab, but it's a great episode I promise! And you know that's a promise you can trust because it's got the Come At Me Seal of Approval (tm tm tm).

Episode 30: Some Girls and Some Josh Quotes
Tuesday Apr 10, 2018
Tuesday Apr 10, 2018
Riley and Kindred are talking The Rolling Stones, ever heard of 'em?! A look at the album Some Girls leads them to ponder how we digest problematic media made during "a different time." There's plenty of quotes from Riley's husband, Josh, and even plentier uncomfortable political discussion.

Y'all know what you're getting into with this episode if you've read the title. As always, thanks for listening.

Monday Mar 26, 2018
You want TABOO? You want DEFYING CULTURAL NORMS? You want A COMPLETELY MISSED OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS HAROLD AND MAUDE? You got it, babe, with this week's episode. Kindred and Riley discuss a randomly chosen a BBC documentary series about couples with large age gaps. Listen as Riley learns that the age of consent isn't what she always thought it was, and Kindred reminds us that there is a woman out there married to a carnival ride.

Episode 27: Love Story ~~do do do do do~~~
Sunday Mar 18, 2018
Sunday Mar 18, 2018
It's Oscar season, and Riley and Kindred are discussing a classic love story, Love Story. There are some ups and downs, a discussion of A Walk to Remember, the word "Daddy" used inappropriately on a Pinterest craft, and we also say goodbye to a beloved segment. Guys, thanks for listening, we think you're the tops.

Sunday Mar 11, 2018
In today's episode, Riley and Kindred attempt to actually discuss the album of music they have chosen to review. Things get off to a good start when they both completely derail to investigate Kindred's father's secret rapping talent and Riley's OSHA training at work.
